made MJC the choice of hundreds of manufacturers.
MJC streamlines the process of controlling jobs and their cost. MJC has many
highly functional and easy-to-use features, one of which is allocation and
posting of material, labor and overhead to jobs and phases. Increase
profitability through improved job management and better cost-control. MJC can
run as an independent system, or can increase the flexibility when OPEN SYSTEMS
Accounting Software applications are added. MJC processes detail of data posted
from Accounts Payable, Purchase Order, Accounts Receivable, and Sales Order.
Interface MJC to Payroll to have a single entry procedure to record labor
expenses to jobs and phases and automatically pass on to Payroll Time Tickets.
Expenditures through Accounts Payable are applied to jobs and phases
automatically. Accounts Receivable posting gives job and phase sales details.
Include General Ledger to keep all the related G/L accounts current.
Benefits of Using Manufacturer's Job Cost
Up to the minute costing information. With MJC you get quick, on-screen inquiry
of all job and phase details.
Thirty Cost Summary Fields. Can be used to track hours, dollars, or overhead.
By tracking labor hours separately you have the ability to charge different
overhead methods based upon the type of labor being performed. Separate job
costs and overhead, specifically, using the cost summary fields.
Save hours determining overhead rates. With six available calculation options,
you can calculate overhead by a percent of labor dollars, pieces produced,
fixed rate per hour, individual employee, individual work center, or a
combination of the last three methods.
Eliminate double entry of time tickets. Apply employee time to jobs and phases
through MJC and post to Payroll.
Estimate Labor. Enter estimated labor transactions for improved job estimating.
Estimate Materials. Estimating materials and their costs for production
provides more accurate information from which to quote. Convert estimates to
actual without reentry.
Quotes. Keep track of quotes separately from jobs; build job templates, print
quotes, and transfer quotes to jobs with the option to include estimated
detail.
Material Requisitions. If inventory is stocked to be used for jobs, you may
requisition items directly through MJC.
Improve Decision Making. Through the information in MJC you will know costs,
overdue, over budget, over hour jobs, job profitability, and much more.
Track All Jobs. Know the status of jobs on your shop floor including the
percentage complete, last work center, and worker the job reached.
